DIY Nightsands

I wanted a narrow desk and couldn’t find exactly what I wanted.  Next thing you know I was building a pair of nightstands. If you don’t know me personally, this is a fairly accurate account of how my thought process goes. Most people have an idea, write it down, plan it out and execute it. I do all of those things with about 6-10 unnecessary steps in between each. I will eventually finish what I intended on starting, but there will be a dozen unfinished projects, 1-2 other projects I HAD to complete and no less than 450 pinned ideas on Pinterest for projects that would consume the rest of my entire lifetime. Yep, distracted easily.
So, my first real big project with drawers and rails and hinges (oh my!) were my nightstands. I followed Brad Rodriguez, from Fix This Build That, 3 drawer nightstand tutorial.  His tutorial was easy to follow, and I not realize till later this May have been a blog post of his from several years back. His current projects are more modern and use plenty of awesome tools we all wish we had in our garages. Turns out, Brad has a business with a warehouse, so I probably shouldn’t try to keep up with him!

The tutorial was fairly easy, and the outcome was some amazing nightstands that gave me the confidence to continue building more items for our home.

I will post the steps I took, items I purchased and tools I used in a later post. For now, here are some pictures of the
nightstands.
